The Peace Memorial Exchange Exhibition, 'Survival from Siberia: The Wandering Tales of Lithuanians,' exhibits precious materials and photos from the Lithuanian National Museum for the first time in Japan. This event introduces the harsh living conditions of Lithuanians under Soviet occupation and their mental resilience through short animations and AR installations. The exhibition is held in the special exhibition corner of the Peace Memorial Museum, which is conveniently accessible from Shinjuku Station. Admission is free, and anyone can easily visit. The exhibition features works themed around Lithuanian ethnic identity and human dignity, allowing visitors to touch upon the history of the past. Furthermore, there are exhibitions using short animations and AR technology, providing unprecedented visual experiences. Through this unique exhibition, deepen your understanding of Lithuanian history and culture. Please visit on the weekend to gain new insights and inspirations.
For the first time in Japan, we are exhibiting valuable materials and photographs from the Lithuanian National Museum, introducing the harsh living conditions and spiritual resilience of Lithuanians under Soviet occupation. Through the screening of the short animation 'PURGA' and AR installations, visitors can visually experience Lithuanian history and culture. The exhibition is held at the Peace Memorial Exhibition Hall, conveniently accessible from Shinjuku Station, and is free of charge, allowing anyone to visit easily.
