Selected Masterpieces of Modern Japanese Paintings III: Artists of the Adachi Museum Award / The Captivating Appearance of Trees
現代日本画名品選III「足立美術館賞の画家たち/人々を魅了する樹のすがた」
"Selected Masterpieces of Modern Japanese Paintings III" is a special exhibition held at the Adachi Museum of Art's new building. This exhibition displays carefully selected Japanese paintings based on two themes. On the first floor, visitors can enjoy the works of award-winning artists at the Adachi Museum of Art and admire the works of renowned contemporary artists such as Yasuhito Ide and Kota Iwatani. On the second floor, Japanese paintings featuring landscapes with trees, such as cherry blossoms, forests, and sunlight through trees, are displayed, captivating viewers with their beauty.
This exhibition provides a unique opportunity to enjoy modern Japanese paintings from a perspective not available in the Inten exhibition. Each floor has its specialized theme, welcoming visitors with a variety of mysterious, lyrical, and dynamic works.
Additionally, only during this exhibition, on specific weekends, students can access free entry for high school students and below by presenting a student ID. Full gallery access is available, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the entire Adachi Museum of Art, including the main building, Japanese garden, and Rosanjin Hall, which is a delightful feature.
To create a memorable experience at this event, it is recommended to first proceed along the route from the first floor to the second floor, carefully appreciating the details of each work, and then spend reflection time while enjoying nature in the Japanese garden.
