The Mashiko Spring Pottery Fair is a nationally renowned pottery market held during Golden Week in Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture. Hundreds of tents line up, showcasing and selling traditional Mashiko ware, daily goods, and artworks, attracting many visitors. Visitors can have a very interactive experience by directly talking to artists and craftsmen while purchasing works. You can enjoy not only pottery but also local agricultural products and specialties. The venue is spread throughout the town, each offering different charms. Especially notable are unique works by emerging artists and limited edition items. If you have time, it is recommended to select and leisurely visit a few places. This is a wonderful event where you can feel the culture and history of Tochigi while seeking pottery.

Transfer at Shimodate to Moka Railway for about 45 minutes to Mashiko Station.)【Bus】From JR Utsunomiya Station, take Kantō Bus towards Mashiko for about 60 minutes, and get off at either "Mashiko Sankokan-mae", "Saidokami", "Ceramic Messe Entrance", or "Jonai-zaka".【Express Bus】From Akihabara Station, take Kantō Yakimono Liner express bus for about 2 hours 30 minutes, and get off at "Ceramic Messe Entrance".
