Gokūkaji
御供加持
The mochi-pounding event "Gokūkaji" is held annually on December 21st at the Sanbutsudō of Rinnō-ji in Nikkō, continuing from the late Nara period as a prayer for the safety of the Yamabushi's training and portable food.
Place：Nikkozan Rinnō-ji
Transportation：From JR Nikko Line Nikko Station and Tobu Nikko Line Tobu Nikko Station, take the Tobu bus bound for Chuzenji Onsen, Yumoto Onsen, or World Heritage Tour Bus for about 5 minutes, alight at "Shinkyo" stop, and walk for about 5 minutes. It's about a 5 minute drive from Nikko-Utsunomiya Road Nikko IC.
