On the 24th, the "Minyo Street Parade" is held, where dancers fill the summer night town, drawing in spectators as well.
On the 25th, the "Taru Niwaka" takes place, where various groups bring lively energy to the summer night, jostling and chanting courageously with floats and portable shrines they've crafted with all their heart.
And the climax is the "Grand Fireworks Display by the Sea" on the 26th. Ranked among the three great firework festivals of Echigo, along with the Nagaoka river fireworks and the Katakai mountain fireworks, it captivates all who attend.
Spectacular displays dazzle the night sky, from the breathtaking 300 continuously-launched large shells, the grand underwater and wide starmine fireworks spreading across the sea, to the simultaneous launching of 100 large shells.
You’ll be moved by the sunset sinking into the horizon, and moved again by the rising fireworks!
