Held on the same day every year

Rokoku Festival (Omi Jingu)

漏刻祭(近江神宮)
The deity of Omi Jingu, Emperor Tenji, is said to have established the time system. Within the shrine, there is also Japan's oldest clock, the "Rokoku (water clock: replica)". Every year, major manufacturers dedicate their latest clocks, and dance performances are also held, making this one of the rare festivals in Otsu.
