Lake Ōnuma Water Festival
大沼湖水まつり
It began in 1906 when the local chief priest held a memorial service for victims of water accidents. The Onuma Lake Water Festival is a historic event in southern Hokkaido. The festival is full of fun for the whole family, including traditional floating lanterns, memorial ceremonies, fireworks displays, and events for children. Please be sure to come and enjoy it.
