Karabushi Weaving Village Fair
からむし織の里フェア
Only during this season can you witness the "karamushi" ohiki (ramie pulling), demonstrations of ohmi (ramie fiber spinning) and weaving, and enjoy kimono shows where you can see and touch "karamushi weaving," known as the finest summer textile. There will also be tours allowing you to visit the "karamushi fields" and "baby's breath fields," which are open to the public only at this time. There will be plenty of local delicacies and other attractions!
