The Air Memorial in Kanoya is a major event held in Kanoya City, located in the center of the Osumi Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture, mainly featuring an air show. The Air Memorial in Kanoya, which has been held since 1994 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the opening of the JMSDF Kanoya Air Base, has settled as one of Kanoya City's three major festivals with the cooperation of the Self-Defense Forces, local residents, and the government.
