This is a traditional festival held since 1964 to commemorate the raid of the Akō Forty-seven Rōnin on Kira's residence on December 14th. The event includes iai dedications, grave-front ceremonies, good fortune prayers, and a parade through the town by volunteers dressed as the Forty-seven Rōnin.
