A traditional equestrian cultural event with over a thousand years of history, designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of the nation. On the first day, the General's Departure Ceremony is held in Soma City. On the second day, in Minamisoma City, a procession of 400 horsemen in armor marches majestically. At Hibarigahara, armored horseback races and a divine flag competition are conducted vigorously. On the third day, in the Nomakake event, people known as Osco, dressed in white, capture wild horses barehanded and dedicate them before the gods.
