The summer mountain opening of Mount Kurikoma, signaling the start of early summer (opening on the Miyagi Prefecture side). Several trails, including the "Central" course, are available for climbing. Also, in the high moor "Sekai Valley Primeval Flower Garden" spreading at an altitude of 669-707 meters, the mountain plant Nikko Kisuge reaches its best viewing time in mid-June. *A safety prayer festival is also held at the Kurikoma Mountain "Iwakagami-daira" trailhead to pray for the safety of climbers and tourists.
