第86回黒船祭
A festival held to commemorate the arrival of the black ships and the opening of the country. Ceremonies in Shimoda Park, reenactments of the signing ceremony of the Japan-US Shimoda Treaty, and more. There are also maritime fireworks, parades and concerts featuring bands from the US Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, making it a festival rich in international flavor.
