In the 5th year of Shōhō (1648), when the Hachiman Shrine, the guardian deity of the Ōgaki castle town, was rebuilt, 10 floats were made and drawn around, marking the beginning. With a tradition boasting over 370 years, 13 floats parade through the castle town, unfolding a magnificent festival picture scroll. The venue features approximately 600 stalls every year.
