Miyazu Festival

宮津祭
A festival held simultaneously at Sanno-gu Hiyoshi Shrine and Wakimiya Shrine, continuing since the Edo period. Centered around the mikoshi, it tours around Miyazu city, praying for the peace of the entire town, accompanied by kagura and floating drums, creating a lively festival with the dynamic sound of the drums. On the final day (15th), solemn ceremonies are held at various locations from the morning, offering numerous highlights. The festival reaches its climax with the 'Miyairi' starting around 7 PM.
