It is not a race for speed, but a "mini marathon" where you can see and enjoy Obuse while running. It is a "connection run (=ensou)" that links Obuse with everyone. Instead of running on the "ON routes" (main streets) of Obuse, which welcome 1.2 million tourists a year—100 times the town's population—you will run 21km along "OFF routes," such as embankments, country paths, and alleys, immersing yourself in the everyday, genuine side of Obuse.
