Mount Tokusenjō, standing at 711 meters at the border of Kesennuma City and former Motoyoshi Town, is one of Japan's largest azalea habitats. Approximately 500,000 Yamatsutsuji and Rengetsu azaleas color the fresh green mountains red, and from the summit, you can enjoy the exquisite contrast with the cobalt blue of the Pacific Ocean below.There are hiking trails on both the Kesennuma side and the Motoyoshi side.
