Samurai Kite Flying

武家凧あげ
The Mori clan's samurai kite has a wide wingspan and is characterized by having two bridle lines that are gathered into one for stable flying. Made in celebration of a child's birth during the Boys' Festival in May, they feature bold designs. On the clear May skies over the Otagawa River, young people enjoy kite flying with energy.
