In the morning, a Shinto ritual is held at the shrine, and in the afternoon, approximately 30 portable shrines (mikoshi) and drums from different clans gather on the shrine's approach to perform the climactic mikoshi parade. The attire for the mikoshi parade varies depending on the clan. The parade starts from the first torii gate and passes through the vermilion torii with a drum bridge in between, covering a distance of about 300 meters with a lively procession including large drums.
