The Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival 2025 is scheduled to take place from August 10 to September 9. OMF Principal Guest Conductor Nodoka Okisawa will take on Benjamin Britten's opera "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The production will be directed by renowned director Laurent Pelly, who has worked on "The Cunning Little Vixen" (2008), "L'enfant et les sortilèges" "L'heure espagnole" (2013), "The Marriage of Figaro" (2022), and more. Okisawa and Pelly, who received high praise for their work on "The Marriage of Figaro," will team up again with the Saito Kinen Orchestra to deliver the first opera performance in three years, which is not to be missed. In addition, a variety of programs are planned, including orchestra concerts, interactive concerts, "Opera for Children," "Concert for Children," and chamber music workshops.
