Sakitama Fire Festival
さきたま火祭り
An ancient romantic fire festival based on the myth of Umi no Sachi and Yama no Sachi. As the sun sets, a procession of 'Ninigi-no-Mikoto' and 'Konohana Sakuya Hime' dressed in ancient costumes appears, inviting people into a mythical world.
Place：Within Maedama Shrine precincts
Transportation：15 minutes by city loop bus from JR Gyoda Station to 'Saitama Kofun Park-mae' stop, then 7 minutes on foot. 15 minutes by Asahi Bus (via Sama) from JR Fukiage Station to 'Sangyo Doro' stop, then 25 minutes on foot.
