This is a traditional festival that started during the "Bunroku-Keichō Campaign" era when Toyotomi Hideyoshi set up camp at Nagoya Castle to boost the morale of the soldiers by dividing the forces of Kiyomasa Katō and Masanori Fukushima into east and west camps and having them pull ropes of warships.
Place：Yobuko Town, Karatsu City (in front of Yobuko Citizen Center, in front of Misansha Shrine)
Transportation：5 minutes walk from JR Karatsu Station 30 minutes by bus from Oteguchi Bus Center towards Yobuko 10 minutes walk from Yobuko Bus Stop
