石切劔箭神社 夏季大祭
Chin'eki Festival: A festival held at Yasaka Shrine of Usa Jingu, where Shinto priests and Buddhist monks jointly pray for the dispersal of epidemics. The highlight is the “Heikoshi Ritual,” in which the sacred wand (gohei) is thrown over the torii gate.Nagoshi Ritual: A Shinto ceremony held on June 30 at Hofu Tenmangu, where participants pass through a ring of miscanthus reeds to cleanse sins and impurities and welcome summer with a refreshed body.Shinken Togyo Festival (Denden Festival): A festival held on June 30 at Isonokami Shrine, where the sacred sword is paraded to Kanda Shrine. Through rice-planting rituals and passing through the reed ring, prayers are offered for epidemic dispersal and abundant harvests.
