As a grand festival to welcome spring, practitioners and yamabushi from all over the country gather here. The Saido Ogoma ceremony, which burns worldly desires with the flame of wisdom, is one of the highlights of this festival. The practitioners enter boldly while blowing conchs, shoot arrows of the boundary into the four directions around the shrine, and then ignite the goma pile exceeding 1 meter in height. The rising flames and smoke are a spectacle to behold. To witness this grand goma, many worshipers gather from inside and outside the town, beckoning the smoke with their hands to pray for household safety and the fulfillment of wishes.
