This is an annual festival designated as a cultural property by Kyoto Prefecture. On May 2nd, the "Yomiya" features Rakugo performances and a bingo tournament, while the "Honmatsuri" on the 3rd includes a portable shrine parade and mochi scattering. From the end of April to May 3rd, there is also an exhibition of painted snow lanterns created by local children. The grounds will be lively with many stalls and a large crowd.
