The festival began in the 4th year of Tenpo (1833) as a religious ceremony to pray for prosperous business and family safety. There are three types of mikoshi carried by adults, and a total of six mikoshi including children's mikoshi parade through the town, bringing excitement along with three lion dances and five floats. The carriers travel about 10 km in procession, and the lion heads showcasing Inami carving skills are also highlights.
