During the Yomisai (Night Festival), Yotaka lantern parades take place, echoing with the sound of the Yotaka drums and the valiant shouts of young men. The main highlight is the Hikiai (fight) that starts around 11 p.m. on the 2nd. With powerful wooden clappers, young men smash each other's lanterns. This intense Hikiai captivates the audience with its vigor. In the main festival, the Honsai, the four towns' Hikiyama visit the Shinmei Shrine, and the mikoshi parade through the town.
