The 67th All Japan Kokeshi Competition will feature traditional kokeshi dolls from across the country, as well as kokeshi and wooden toys and crafts from all over Japan. About 700 pieces are exhibited every year, and during the event, approximately 30,000 kokeshi fans gather to find their favorite kokeshi. On the event day, there will be kokeshi sales and demonstrations by kokeshi artisans. The "Local Product Festival," where specialties from Shiroishi City and neighboring areas are exhibited and sold, is also held simultaneously, making it a lively event.
