Located in the eastern part of Nagasaki City, the Koga area is known as "The Village of Trees." The "Koga Ueki Festival" is held during the season of new leaves, and every year many people gather to experience the "green" discovered at the home of garden plants. In addition to exhibits and sales of garden trees, flowering plants, and flower seedlings, there are live demonstrations by gardening craftsmen and an exhibition of high-end bonsai. There is also a guided tour of Koga's gardens, and it is recommended to enjoy a free stroll using the walking map available at the Nagasaki City Gardening Center.
