Asamai Park in Hiraka Town, Yokote City, is known as "Ayame Garden" as it mainly features irises from the Iris family. Within its 5.5-hectare grounds, 80 varieties of 30,000 iris plants bloom into 600,000 flowers during the Ayame Festival, attracting numerous tourists from inside and outside the prefecture. On event days, stalls and tent villages selling local products make the festival even more lively.
