A representative festival of Mizusawa in Oshu City with over 300 years of history. The 9 town groups with 'Hayashi Yatai' have different tunes, and these Yatai performances are designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Iwate Prefecture. The climax is the 'Joint Performance' where each town group displays their splendid music, creating a grand picture scroll. Note that the operation of the floats is limited to the main festival.
