Ise Sanjo Spring Opening Grand Festival
伊勢山上春季戸開け大祭
The Mecca of Shugendo, Ise Sanjo, opens the Iwaya Main Hall from this day. Leaders in Yamabushi attire will blow conch shells and hold a large goma ceremony, praying for the safety of hikers during the period. (The training site on Ise Sanjo is open all year round.)
