Takiyama Park hosts the Azalea Festival every year from early to late April. Following the cherry blossoms in mid-April, the Mitsuba Azaleas bloom splendidly by the end of the month, turning the entire mountain pink, creating a unique spectacle. During the festival, stalls and food stands open, attracting a large number of visitors. Families can be seen enjoying picnics under the flowers, and people stroll along the paths leading to Takiyama Shrine and Ryuou Waterfall.
