Izumozaki Great Festival is held annually on June 17th in the coastal area of Izumozaki Town, Niigata Prefecture. This is a traditional festival, which started about 300 years ago in Genroku 3, to pray for maritime safety at the shrine where the Tachibana family, Ryoukan's birthplace, has traditionally served as priests. The parade format combines the styles of ancient daimyo processions and ceremonial forms, creating a solemn yet splendid event. Many stalls line the streets, attracting numerous spectators and creating a lively atmosphere. We warmly invite everyone to participate. Venue: Coastal area of Izumozaki Town. Stalls span from Ishii Town to Haguro Town.
