Ishikawa Nature Club
石川自然クラブ
The Ishikawa Nature Club is a unique event aimed at protecting various endangered species along the Ishikawa riverbanks. Here, you can observe the smallest dormice in Japan and valuable flora and fauna like the semi-endangered Mizokouju. Numerous wild birds including goshawks, reed warblers, and sedge warblers can also be spotted. The event involves a variety of activities, such as observing wildlife, preserving grasslands, and removing invasive species, where participants can contribute to conservation efforts. The natural zone of Ishikawa Riverside Park is the perfect place to observe rare species, especially for a close-up view of dormice life, an experience only available here. Be sure to bring binoculars when visiting, keep observation records, and take part in ecosystem conservation activities.
