One giant 16-meter-tall lantern float (also known as Dekayama), which was revived in the first year of the Heisei era, and eight festival floats are paraded around. On the floats, children ride along with performers playing drums, bells, and flutes, and during the procession, the traditional work song called "Kyarage" echoes throughout. The children's dances performed on special stages set up throughout the town are also a highlight. Visitors can experience pulling the lantern float together with the local youth (advance inquiry required).
