Kuki no Umi Fireworks Festival

くきのうみ花火の祭典
A fireworks festival known as a summer tradition. The famous "Niagara" fireworks set up on the Wakamatsu Bridge is a sight to behold. The "Kuki no Umi Fireworks Festival," which started in Showa 61, has been held every July and is cherished as a summer night tradition decorating Dokai Bay, loved by the citizens. However, in recent years, due to extreme heat in the summer caused by climate change, the risk of heatstroke among visitors has become an issue. On this occasion, the Kuki no Umi Fireworks Festival Executive Committee decided to change the event date to October, starting from Reiwa 7th year, when the weather is more stable, and the risks of heatstroke or cancellations due to typhoons are minimal.
