It is held before the summer traditional event "Hita Gion Festival," which boasts a tradition of about 300 years. All nine festival floats in Hita City gather together for this rare occasion, only once a year, to showcase this year's floats. As the event is held in the evening, the fantastic glow of lanterns and the sounds of Gion festival music make the magnificent floats stand out even more.
