Annual Grand Festival of Fuji-san Inari Shrine (Straw Hat Festival)
冨士山稲荷神社例大祭（麦わらまつり）
The area around the shrine used to be wheat fields, and after the harvest, straw from the wheat was used to make torches for the festival, which is why it is called the “Mugiwara Festival.” The summer fireworks in Iida begin with this annual grand festival.
