Gosen Hachimangu Tanabata Festival☆Milky Way Tour
五泉八幡宮 七夕まつり☆天の川巡り
The "Gosen Hachimangu Festival: Star Festival☆Milky Way Pilgrimage," a representative summer festival of Gosen, will be held again this year at Gosen Hachimangu, the general guardian of the site where Gosen Castle once stood!
At Gosen Hachimangu, wind chime offerings began as a dedication to reconstruction and remembrance, inspired by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011. The "Wind Chime Festival" has since been held, displaying wind chimes around the grounds believed to bring blessings and ward off evil.
Around 5,000 wind chimes collected from all 47 prefectures of Japan and various countries worldwide decorate the shrine precincts, an awe-inspiring sight. Be sure to listen to the refreshing tones reminiscent of summer.
Additionally, various photo spots will appear during the period! The "Umbrella Sky" with colorful umbrellas and a light-up display will be featured, and special goshuin will also be prepared. Visit Gosen Hachimangu to experience the Japanese summer.
■ Wind Chime Light-Up
During the festival, the wind chimes will be illuminated daily from 19:00 to 20:30. Enjoy the enchanting wind chimes, different from those in daylight. 203b Canceled in case of rain
