The Muramatsu area, which flourished as the castle town of the "Muramatsu Domain Hori Family's 30,000 koku", is holding the "Matsushiro Festival Procession Picture Scroll Parade" again this year.

This procession is based on the "Picture Scroll Parade" held in the late Edo period, where citizens dress in armor as archery and spear squads, parading through the center of Muramatsu.

The scenery presented by the simultaneously held "Castle Town Muramatsu Flag Festival" and the "Picture Scroll Parade" gives a sense of time travel back to the Edo period. Don't miss this precious opportunity, and be sure to visit Muramatsu.
