Van Gogh Exhibition: The Dream Passed Down by Family
ゴッホ展 家族がつないだ画家の夢
The Dreams of Van Gogh exhibition is an exhibition exploring how the works of the great Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh have been passed down to the present. The uniqueness of this exhibition lies in its focus on how his paintings have been preserved through the support and love of his family. The main exhibits depict the efforts of his wife Jo in conveying Van Gogh's beliefs to the next generation through the collection of his brother Theo, and their son Vincent Willem.
The exhibition also reveals Van Gogh's masterpieces along with his private letters, offering sections that provide deep insights into his inner world. Visitors can also learn about the background of the museum, which exists thanks to the support of his family.
Especially in this event, unlike usual exhibitions, it includes precious letters and diaries that bring Van Gogh's life to prominence.
Held at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts, this exhibition is a must-see for art lovers, and when visiting, be sure to not only focus on his works but also on the history and figures of the Van Gogh family, tracing the history of the museum.
