The festival, which can be called the symbol of summer in Kanzaki, has continued since the pedestrian paradise night market started in 1982 (Showa 57). Centered around Kushida Shrine, the festival uses Nagasaki Street itself as the venue, organized mainly by local residents and merchants as a community event. There are games and haunted houses set up at various places along the street, giving the festival a homely atmosphere. Especially in this day and age, a long-running festival created by the initiative of the residents is all the more precious — why not return to your childhood and enjoy it?
