Culture Night originated in Northern Europe. It is an event where public facilities, cultural institutions, and private venues are opened at night for citizens to enjoy the local culture. Not only adults and children who live in the area, but also tourists—everyone can participate. It is a regional cultural activity in Hokkaido created through the cooperation of citizens, businesses, and the government.
