The Forester Training Course is a three-day, consecutive program designed for those aspiring to become satoyama conservation volunteers in parks or local communities. The event is held in the lush surroundings of Nishikiori Park. Participants not only learn through lectures but also gain hands-on experience in actual forest work and activities, deepening their understanding of sustainable forest management. The program includes practical knowledge and skills useful on-site, such as an introduction to the history and ecosystem of satoyama, thinning experience, leaf gathering, and tree planting work. A unique feature of this course is the opportunity to take part in real-world activities within a natural park environment, guided by experienced instructors. Additionally, participants receive an exclusive handbook, and on the final day, there is a session where everyone shares their achievements.
