Ohara Daruma Festival

大原だるま祭り
On August 15th, local youths and elementary school children carry a handmade jumbo Daruma doll for the "Ohara Daruma Festival." While praying for health and safety, they parade through the Ohara Shopping Street with the auspicious Daruma, symbolizing "fall down seven times, get up eight." With enthusiastic chants, they march forward, backward, spin, and dash, keeping spectators entertained.
