Inoue Shrine Festival

井上神社祭

The Inoue Shrine Festival is held on the first Sunday of July at Inoue Shrine in Kaiyo Town. The highlight of the festival is the wild mikoshi (portable shrine) parade that takes place dynamically in the river. Both participants and spectators can enjoy this spectacular scene up close. Stalls run by locals surround the venue, offering handmade dishes and local specialties that reflect the season. The rice cake throwing event is also a lively moment for both children and adults, creating unforgettable memories. The wild mikoshi parade and rice cake throwing are unique experiences of this festival. Be sure to visit and fully immerse yourself in the excitement, catch some rice cakes, and enjoy the lively flow of the river firsthand.
