The Fukushima Waraji Festival is a traditional festival with over 400 years of history, originating from the 'Shinobu Sanzan Akatsuki Mairi' ritual. It is held every early August. Accompanied by dynamic music, the Waraji dance is performed, and a giant 12-meter straw sandal is paraded through the streets.
