The Iizuka City central shopping street, which serves as the festival venue, was once a thriving post town called "Iizuka-juku" along the Nagasaki Kaido. In connection with this history, a variety of events are held, including a historical costume parade featuring citizens dressed in different period costumes, stage live performances, street dance, food and beverage stalls, merchandise sales, and many other attractions.
