When it comes to Gifu's night views, the scenery from Mt. Kinka and Gifu Castle is a must-see. Its beauty is widely renowned, rivaling even the famous nightscapes of Kobe and Hakodate. During Golden Week, summer vacation, and the autumn sightseeing season, the Gifu Kinka Ropeway operates at night for a limited time, taking you up to Gifu Castle at an altitude of 329 meters. Below, you can see the sparkling lights of downtown Gifu, and in the distance, the shimmering glow of Nagoya. A panoramic view, often compared to the aurora, stretches out before you. Take in the night view from Gifu Castle, once the residence of the famous warlord Oda Nobunaga, and feel like a samurai yourself.

Transportation：From either 'JR Gifu Station' or 'Meitetsu Gifu Station', take a Gifu Bus bound for 'Nagara Bridge area' or the 'City Loop Line (left route)' for about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Gifu Park / Gifu Castle' bus stop. Walk about 3 minutes inside Gifu Park, then take the Gifu Kinkazan Ropeway for about 4 minutes and walk about 8 minutes from the summit station. By car: From the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway 'Gifu Kakamigahara I.C.', head west on Route 21, then north on Route 156. After exiting Iwato Tunnel, turn left; just before Ukai Ohashi Bridge, turn left again. Immediately after exiting the Kinkazan Tunnel you'll find the Gifu Park riverside parking lot. From there, it's about a 3-minute walk inside Gifu Park, a 4-minute ride on the Gifu Kinkazan Ropeway, then about an 8-minute walk from the summit station.
